This is a global event held by the World Health Organization, global leaders and communities. WHO and global embrace the important actions needed to stop cancer from the leading causes of mortality globally.
This year’s theme is ‘I am and I will’ which means that everyone, collectively and individually resolve to end the injustice of preventable suffering from cancer as part of our commitment to universal health
coverage and larger push to leave no one behind.
Kenya, through the Ministry of Health (National Cancer Control Program), Cancer Civil society groups led by Kenyan Network of Cancer Organizations, National Cancer Institute and other stakeholders are keen to commemorate this activity in a select county in the country.
