Fafanuka is a mobile platform that is designed to provide Short Message Service (SMS) about Non- Communicable Diseases (NCDs) upon subscription. The launch of the platform was done in a splendorous event during the World Diabetes Day celebrations on 14th November 2018 at Emusire primary school in Vihiga County. The platform was launched in elegance by the Vihiga Governor; Hon. Dr. Wilber K. Ottichilo. The mobile platform provides information about Diabetes, Heart Disease, Epilepsy and Cancer.  KENCO has the honor of providing  information about Cancer. This platform will further the agenda of creating awareness to the public. Anyone can subscribe through the short code *215#

Fafanuka has been made possible through the partnership of KENCO with Safaricom, Ministry of Health, Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance of Kenya (NCDAK), Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS), Kenya Diabetes Management and Information Center (DMI), Kenya association for the welfare of people with epilepsy (KAWE) and African Institute for Health and Development (AIHD).
