Launched on 24th January 2014, the Beyond Zero Initiative is an advocacy platform that complements Kenya’s commitment to invest in and improve the quality of life for its citizens as highlighted in Kenya Vision 2030.
The Initiative works with diverse stakeholders in the public and private sectors to improve the lives of women and children by; promoting policy dialogues, mobilization of resources to increase access to healthcare services, and community engagement through focused health messages that emphasize preventive and inclusive approaches to promote positive health-seeking behavior.
In cancer prevention, Beyond Zero works with the national and county governments as well as partners in cancer programming to;
Raise the profile and visibility of reproductive tract cancers through awareness creation for early and regular screening as well as timely treatment;
Promote screening and early detection of reproductive tract cancers through community outreaches using the Beyond Zero mobile clinic.
